HOMEOWNER12:04pm
About as much as you said, and nothing more.
AGENT12:04pm
Nothing more. OK. Well, that's why I was giving you a call, Mrs. Lazor cause our job is just to go ahead and explain it to you, see if you're a good fit for the program and then if you are we just select a better time and day to go over all those details with you and answer any questions you may have, OK?
HOMEOWNER12:04pm
Um I don't see how I can get solar power without having to purchase it.
AGENT12:04pm
Yeah, no, that's a really good uh observation there. And I can definitely explain how. So how you're able to get it is because these are government-funded programs. So it's just as long as yourself and your property are able to qualify for it. That's how you're able to get the system installed and the only thing you take on is a cheaper energy bill. So to give you an example, Mrs. Lazar, if you're paying, let's just say $200 towards your energy company now. As long as your property qualifies, you get the system installed and then now you just pay a cheaper energy bill and that energy bill is locked in and fixed. So instead of paying $200 to your energy company, you can now pay a low bill of anywhere between like 80 to 120. Just really depends. So let's just say we lock you in at 100. Now you're paying a nice fixed bill of $100. Does that kinda make sense?
HOMEOWNER12:05pm
Mm I know what you're saying.
AGENT12:05pm
Mhm.
HOMEOWNER12:05pm
I don't know how it's possible.
AGENT12:05pm
OK. Uh, I could break it down a little bit more then. So how it's possible is cause these programs are funded through taxpayer dollars. So your taxpaying dollars are mine, people who live in apartments, trailers, everyone's taxpaying dollars now. A portion of that is being funneled into these programs. So what the government's doing is they're allowing homeowners like yourself to see if your property is able to qualify cause as long as it does, that's how you're able to get the system installed because it's already paid for through taxpaying dollars. Now the only thing you pay for is the energy that you use. So it's exactly like how you're doing right now with California Edison, except you eliminate that bill and you just pay a cheaper bill now. That's all. That kind of cleared up a little bit more, Mrs. Lazar.
HOMEOWNER12:06pm
Well, you'll have to install

AGENT12:02pm
Hello, Claire
HOMEOWNER12:02pm
Who are you calling for
AGENT12:02pm
Claire, is this Claire
HOMEOWNER12:03pm
No, what is this about, please?
AGENT12:03pm
Yeah, um, well, uh, are you clear or no? This is for Claire.
HOMEOWNER12:03pm
Claire is my husband.
AGENT12:03pm
Oh, OK. I, I was reaching out because uh I'm not sure if we spoke to you or Claire. It was about helping you lower your current energy bill.
HOMEOWNER12:03pm
Does this involve purchasing uh solar power.
AGENT12:03pm
No. So it is in regards to solar, but you no longer need to purchase it. It's just as long as the property is able to qualify. So that's I believe what my team member was speaking to Claire about.
HOMEOWNER12:03pm
I am the person that was spoken to. My husband,
AGENT12:03pm
OK.
HOMEOWNER12:03pm
Claire has aphasia. He cannot speak.
AGENT12:03pm
OK. Got you then. Uh, so we're speaking to you, uh, are you Mrs. Lazor?
HOMEOWNER12:03pm
I'm Mrs. Lazura, yes.
AGENT12:03pm
Mrs. Lazarre. OK, Mrs. Azor. Well, that's what my team member was talking to you about yesterday then I believe they called towards a little bit towards the end of the day, like around 6 o'clock. They, they were just talking about how we're able to help homeowners lower their bill without you paying for the solar anymore, so you just simply take on a cheaper energy bill and that's it. Did they talk to you a little bit about that?
HOMEOWNER12:04pm
About as much as you said, and nothing more.
AGENT12:04pm
Nothing more. OK. Well, that's why I was giving you a call, Mrs. Lazor cause our job is just to go ahead and explain it to you, see if you're a good fit for the program and then if you are we just select a better time and day to go over all those details with you and answer any questions you may have, OK?

HOMEOWNER12:05pm
Mm I know what you're saying.
AGENT12:05pm
Mhm.
HOMEOWNER12:05pm
I don't know how it's possible.
AGENT12:05pm
OK. Uh, I could break it down a little bit more then. So how it's possible is cause these programs are funded through taxpayer dollars. So your taxpaying dollars are mine, people who live in apartments, trailers, everyone's taxpaying dollars now. A portion of that is being funneled into these programs. HOMEOWNER12:06pm
Well, you'll have to install
AGENT12:06pm
Uh-huh
HOMEOWNER12:06pm
energy panels.
AGENT12:06pm
correct. Yeah So the
HOMEOWNER12:06pm
and who pays for that?
AGENT12:06pm
yeah, the program does. So there's no loan you need to take out, no down payment, nothing for the installation costs and no lien on the property. It's as long as you and your property qualify, that's how you're able to get it. So, not everyone could qualify because sometimes it prevents them from moving forward, whether it be them or their property, right? If you have a bad roof, a bad main panel unit, anything that could go wrong. The slightest thing could disqualify you from the program. So that's why I was reaching out today just to see if you're a good fit and then if you are, that's when we send someone out to you to talk to you a little bit more about it and show you a full breakdown. That kind of make a little bit more sense, Mr.
HOMEOWNER12:07pm
Yeah,
AGENT12:07pm
Lazar.
HOMEOWNER12:07pm
except that this is really bad timing and my husband's in the hospital
AGENT12:07pm
Oh,
HOMEOWNER12:07pm
and I'm
AGENT12:07pm
OK. I'm
HOMEOWNER12:07pm
have
AGENT12:07pm
so sorry
HOMEOWNER12:07pm
to go
AGENT12:07pm
to.
HOMEOWNER12:07pm
see him, um,
AGENT12:07pm
Mhm.
HOMEOWNER12:07pm
uh, how long is the program available?
AGENT12:07pm
Well, that's the thing. We don't know how long this program's gonna stick around because since it's government endorsed they can pull funding on it at any time, so it could be here for a year. It could be here up until next week. It can be here up until tomorrow. Well, usually
HOMEOWNER12:07pm
And it's the funding runs out, then am I liable for the balance?
AGENT12:07pm
uh, yeah, so correct. So once you get it installed, the only thing you're paying for is the energy that you use. So you're not paying for the installation or anything like that. So once it's on top of your house, you're fine. You don't have to worry about anything except making your energy bill payment just like how you do right now with your utility company, the same exact
HOMEOWNER12:07pm
OK.
AGENT12:07pm
thing.
HOMEOWNER12:07pm
Can we get on with the necessary qualifications. I
AGENT12:07pm
Sure
HOMEOWNER12:07pm
only have a few minutes.
AGENT12:07pm
Of course, yeah, I'll be really quick for you. So, for your property, do you have any big trees, tall buildings that provide shade over
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
No
AGENT12:08pm
your roof? No? OK.
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
no
AGENT12:08pm
And then roof condition, any major leaks, damages that you're aware of, anything like that?
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
No, but it is asphalt shingle, and it
AGENT12:08pm
OK.
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
is about time that I have to replace the asphalt shingles again.
AGENT12:08pm
Gotcha. So I'm
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
But
AGENT12:08pm
guessing,
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
so far there's
AGENT12:08pm
uh-huh.
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
no leaks.
AGENT12:08pm
no leaks, no damage, but it's probably close in need of replacement. So I'm guessing it's around 15 to 20 years old around that range.
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
Yeah.
AGENT12:08pm
Yeah, OK
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
that sounds about right
AGENT12:08pm
Gotcha. Well, just to let you know, we don't even come close to a roof that's not structurally strong enough to sustain the system so that if that is the case, that is something that the energy consultant can actually talk to you about during the consultation as well. OK, Mrs. Lazar?
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
OK
AGENT12:08pm
OK. And I'm guessing for the property here, it's you and your husband that are untitled, both of you guys?
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
Well, yes, he's normally here, but he's in the hospital right now,
AGENT12:08pm
Got you.
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
and
AGENT12:08pm
No, it's
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
my
AGENT12:08pm
OK
HOMEOWNER12:08pm
son also lives with us.
AGENT12:08pm
OK, no worries. And the only reason why I ask if it's you and your husband on Tidal just because uh if there is more than one person that is on the title of the home, we'll look for both of you guys to be there, so that shouldn't be an issue at all.
HOMEOWNER12:09pm
I have his power of attorney.
AGENT12:09pm
OK, no problem then, Mrs. Lazarre. And lastly, of course, for the program since like how I mentioned it is government indoors. Homeowners just need to have a good standing credit score of at least 660 or higher, so I'm guessing you're all good there as well, correct?
HOMEOWNER12:09pm
I am not certain about that. I'd be on the edge.
AGENT12:09pm
On the edge.
HOMEOWNER12:09pm
I
AGENT12:09pm
OK
HOMEOWNER12:09pm
just had to take out a mortgage on the home. so that might have lowered the credit rating a little.
AGENT12:09pm
Gotcha. No worries. I mean, if you did have to do that, were you, uh, did you have to like do any bankruptcies or foreclosures in the past 7 years, anything like that or no?
HOMEOWNER12:09pm
No, no,
AGENT12:09pm
No.
HOMEOWNER12:09pm
no.
AGENT12:09pm
OK. Gotcha. And then, if you did take out a mortgage, that shouldn't be an issue just as long as you're making all your payments on time. So like if for your mortgage or whether it be a credit card payment, all that stuff, as long as you're doing all that on time, you should be well above 660 or at least for sure above like around 680, 700 around there. So everything's good there,
HOMEOWNER12:10pm
Mm
AGENT12:10pm
correct?
HOMEOWNER12:10pm
As far as I know
AGENT12:10pm
OK, perfect, Mrs. Lazarre. So the next step, like I mentioned, it's really simple. It's just selecting that better time and date where the consultant can actually stop by. They talked to you for 30 minutes, so it's a 30 minute assessment. They just show you how much you can save, answer your questions, and then see if your property can qualify. Uh, I know right now currently your husband is in the hospital. So, uh, if there's a time and date that works best? Is this like a morning or afternoon work better for you?
HOMEOWNER12:10pm
Afternoon and it would uh make it as far out as, as practical because I'm not
AGENT12:10pm
Mhm.
HOMEOWNER12:10pm
sure when he'll be coming home.
AGENT12:10pm
Gotcha. And I'm, guessing your husband will wanna be there for the consultation as well, correct?
HOMEOWNER12:10pm
Uh, he could care less.
AGENT12:10pm
OK.
HOMEOWNER12:10pm
He had a he had a stroke and I do
AGENT12:10pm
Oh,
HOMEOWNER12:10pm
everything.
AGENT12:10pm
OK. I'm so sorry to hear that. I really hope everything is OK with your husband. Um, if you like, I, I know you're going back and forth between, you know, your home and the hospital. Uh, I can check in with you sometime next week just because I know the, they're gonna be there up until next week, Friday. So I can keep checking in with you if you like, we can set up like a tentative time for next week Thursday in the afternoon.
HOMEOWNER12:11pm
Uh, that is too soon. It would have to be at least a week longer than
AGENT12:11pm
OK.
HOMEOWNER12:11pm
that.
AGENT12:11pm
No problem, Mrs. Lazar. Let me just check here. I wanna make sure that they're gonna be there for you before I said anything. So give me one quick second as I check the calendar and then I'll let you go here. So, uh, let's see, next week, that's the 17th, and then the following week would be the 24th. So I can shoot for 2 weeks for the 24th. Uh, I do see that there'll
HOMEOWNER12:11pm
What
AGENT12:11pm
be
HOMEOWNER12:11pm
day of the week is that?
AGENT12:11pm
uh, that would be a Friday, so the end of the week, the end of the week
HOMEOWNER12:11pm
That
AGENT12:11pm
of
HOMEOWNER12:11pm
would
AGENT12:11pm
June.
HOMEOWNER12:11pm
be, that would be a relatively good time.
AGENT12:11pm
Good time. Perfect. So, and I know you mentioned afternoon time works. Were you looking after 3 o'clock, 4 o'clock, 5 o'clock?
HOMEOWNER12:12pm
After 4.
AGENT12:12pm
After 4. OK. So I can set you up for 2 weeks from now, which would be Friday the 24th at 5 p.m. So what I'm gonna do, Mrs. Azora, I can send you a, uh, text message just letting you know you're all set and then what I can do as well just to make sure that that time worked out just because it is 2 weeks away. I can definitely go ahead and give you a call that same week, like on Monday or Tuesday, just to make sure that that time still works for you, OK?
HOMEOWNER12:12pm
Yes, I would appreciate that.
AGENT12:12pm
Perfect, Mrs. Lazarre. So
HOMEOWNER12:12pm
Mm
AGENT12:12pm
let me go ahead and do that for you. In the meantime, if you have your latest utility bill, do you typically get that online or in the mail?
HOMEOWNER12:12pm
online
AGENT12:12pm
Online, OK. Cause when I send the text message over to you, what can also save you some time as well if, if you're able to take a, a screenshot or a picture of page 3. It has a bar graph. If you're sending that over to us via text message, we can actually get started on the savings report for you early so that when they do meet with you, it would be even less time, OK?
HOMEOWNER12:13pm
Well, I'm currently in a payment arrangement
AGENT12:13pm
Mhm.
HOMEOWNER12:13pm
with Edison.
AGENT12:13pm
OK, that's fine
HOMEOWNER12:13pm
So, uh, the amount I'm paying
AGENT12:13pm
Mhm
HOMEOWNER12:13pm
is not reflecting a normal bill
AGENT12:13pm
No, it's OK. That's why we're asking for page 3 because on page 3, it has a bar graph. That bar graph shows your energy usage for the year. So even if you're on a payment plan, that bar graph shows us how much energy you're using on a monthly basis, and that's how we can calculate how much energy you're using for the entire year. OK, Mrs. Lazar?
HOMEOWNER12:13pm
OK. Now, does this system that you have have a storage generator.
AGENT12:13pm
Yes, correct. They have, uh, what they're called battery packs, yes.
HOMEOWNER12:13pm
Yeah, OK. All right.
AGENT12:13pm
Perfect. Awesome then, Mrs. Laura. I'll send
HOMEOWNER12:13pm
Um
AGENT12:13pm
you a text message shortly then, uh, for you being set up the 24th at 5. whenever you have some time, I know you're pretty busy right now going back and forth, but if you could please send that utility page over with the bar graph. That would be great. And then I can check in with you that same week to make sure everything's good, OK?
HOMEOWNER12:14pm
and what is the name of your company
AGENT12:14pm
Yeah.
HOMEOWNER12:14pm
again?
AGENT12:14pm
Uh, I'm with Local Energy Partners, so what I can do as well, I'll send a link over to you regarding the company and the installers that we use, just so that you can get familiar with them as well, OK?
HOMEOWNER12:14pm
Thank you, I would appreciate that.
AGENT12:14pm
No problem, Mrs. Zora. And again, I hope everything is OK with your husband and everything works out. And I'll be texting you shortly, OK?
HOMEOWNER12:14pm
All right, thank
AGENT12:14pm
No
HOMEOWNER12:14pm
you
AGENT12:14pm
problem. Bye-bye
